Dr Vicky Law
I grew up in Brisbane and completed my dental degree (Bachelor of Dental Science) at The University of Queensland in 1999. By then I worked in both private practices and Queensland Health dental clinics in Brisbane and Gold Coast prior further my training in Paediatric Dentistry.
I am a registered specialist paediatric dentist, having completed a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Dentistry, majoring in Paediatric Dentistry in 2002 and a Master of Dental Science in Paediatric Dentistry at The University of Queensland in 2005. I also gained my Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
I started Chermside Paediatric Dental Care in 2007 and combined my clinical work with an appointment as a visiting specialist at The Dental School, The University of Queensland from 2006 to 2011, where I lectured and demonstrated to undergraduate students in Paediatric Dentistry subject. Also, I am invited to present in several local dental study clubs meetings. I regularly attend paediatric dental conferences and keep up to date with the current treatment philosophies and aim to provide scientific evidence based treatment options to my patients.
I am a member of the Australian Dental Association, Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry (ANZSPD) and Australasian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, as well as wider family and friends. I love travelling, yoga, cooking and piano playing.

Hello, I'm Katrina. At 19 I didn't know what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Funny thing it just came to me in a dream one night (true story). Setting out the next day, very excited to find about my new career. With no experience I was very fortunate to get a 3 hours Saturday morning job with a local general dentist. Nearly 20 years on and I am still very passionate and motivated to my career.
My position at Chermside Paediatric Dental Care is Practice Manager. As Practice Manager it is my position to oversee the smooth running of such a busy practice. I coordinate all treatments and appointments for both the clinic and General Anaesthetics. My empathy and enthusiasm toward our patients, parents and staff alike is crucial to our successful practice. I have been at Chermside Paediatric Dental Care for 5 years. I am very experienced in various dental fields and have worked in General Dental, Oral Surgery, Endodontic and School Dental Service. With various dental assistant qualifications I plan to expand my Practice Management qualification early next year.
My husband and I have 2 children. We like to spend family time at the beach and camping. A footy loving family we love to watch live games. Our recent family trip was PNG last year and we are planning a road trip around New Zealand in 2015.
I have joined Chermside Paediatric Dental Care after completing my Certificate III in dental assisting in June 2013. Topping my class I was employed in this specialist practice in May 2013 before graduation. The part I love most about my job as a dental assistant and receptionist is that after 18 months I am still learning new things everyday and each day is different and challenging. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing our long term happy patients returning with beautiful smiles!
Hi my name is Cassandra, I started my career in dental after many years in child care & hospitality feeling I needed something more challenging. I have recently joined Chermside Paediatric Dental Care in February 2016 after 10years in general dentistry. Working in this specialist field has both been challenging & rewarding. I have been able to combine both my favourite careers of working with children & dentistry which I love. I am excited to grow & expand my knowledge in this field. My husband, stepson & I enjoying a lot of out door activities from camping to dirt bikes, fishing & JetSki's. We do love to also travel regularly overseas or around Australia.
